I used to work in Chipotle Mexican Grill. That’s where I started loving burritos. This Tex-Mex dish is just great. The Pulse Collective’s chilli beans give you the perfect starting point.

The three core elements of a good burrito are:

  • A good wrap

  • Beans cooked with Mexican chillies and spices (use the Pulse Collective’s if you can’t be arsed to make it yourself)

  • Grain (usually rice, but it could also be quinoa or even local types like spelt or barley)

OPTIONAL

  • Salsa (tomato, coriander based) (OPTIONAL)

  • Avocado (OPTIONAL)

  • Lettuce (OPTIONAL)

  • Soffritas (pan fried veggies .. usually peppers and onions) (OPTIONAL)

  • Sour cream or creme fraiche (OPTIONAL)

  • Cheese (OPTIONAL)

  • Grilled or slow braised meat (OPTIONAL)
